Homeschool Laws by State: Mississippi
In Mississippi, children who are between the ages of 6 years old and 17 years old on or before September 1st must be educated. There are no requirements for parents to meet in order to homeschool their children. There are no required courses nor minimum number of days that a child must be educated per year. There are also no required standardized tests.
Parents must fill out and turn in a certificate of enrollment with the school district's attendance officer each year by September 15th.
