Resource of the Day: T'was the Night Before Christmas, "mad lib" style!
Inspired by a request on one of the email lists I belong to, I recently created a "mad lib" version of the famous poem, "T'was the Night Before Christmas". Just print it out then fill in the blanks with your chosen victim's choices.
Since we can't use the "mad lib" name, just look for FrankenTales under the Language Arts section here:
FrankenTales: T'was the Night Before Christmas (Language Arts)Just click on it and it will pop up with a Word Document that you can print out. Enjoy!
And if you like, please share in the comments here what kinds of poems YOUR kids ended up making!

Resource of the Day: Free Creative Writing Course
Free this week only at Homeschool eStore (soon to be called "CurrClick") is a creative writing course.
Our Creative Writing I course is called "START WRITING!", and that’s what it accomplishes. It provides the students with key concepts in writing, defining many of the most important terms, and starting the student in a highly creative direction unique to our curriculum. The course comes with a Teacher’s Guide, which will assist the teacher at any point where the student may possibly run into a problem. There are no additional purchases needed to do this course beyond the Study Guide, Teacher’s Guide, test and answer guide. This course has proven remarkably effective with students of all ages above nine who are reticent to write, and is a tremendous success with students already interested in writing! This course requires no additional materials. Generally, students take between 25-40 hours to complete this course.
